How to use Signal Whisper in ChatGPT: setup, prompts and limits
Signal Whisper is now an app inside ChatGPT. Once you connect your Signal Whisper account, you can ask ChatGPT for today's signals, active forex setups, open prediction markets and recent congressional trades, or attach a chart screenshot and get a read on trend, key levels and risk. This guide covers how to set it up, what you can ask, what needs a plan, and what the app cannot do.
Quick answers
- You need a Signal Whisper account. A free account works for free crypto signals, chart analysis (up to 5 in total, 1 a day), your plan details and your usage.
- Full stock and crypto signals, forex setups, prediction markets, congressional trades, alerts and auto-trading status need an active plan or trial.
- ChatGPT can pause your auto-trading after you confirm. It cannot start auto-trading, place a trade, change your limits or move money.
- Signals and chart reads are for information only. Not financial advice.
How to add Signal Whisper in ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins in the sidebar and search for Signal Whisper, or go straight to the Signal Whisper plugin page.
- Click Install plugin.
- Sign in with your Signal Whisper account on the Signal Whisper sign-in page. If you do not have an account yet, create one first at signalwhisper.com.
- Read the consent page and press Allow. It lists what ChatGPT can do with your account, including that it can pause auto-trading but never start it.
- Start a chat and ask for something, for example "What are today's Signal Whisper crypto signals?"
The Signal Whisper plugin page shows the listing, the tools and the privacy details.
What you can ask
Signal Whisper gives ChatGPT these tools. You do not pick a tool yourself. Ask in plain language and ChatGPT chooses the right one.
| What you want | Example prompt | Needs |
|---|---|---|
| Free crypto signals | "Show me the free Signal Whisper crypto signals." | Free account |
| Chart read | Attach a chart screenshot and ask "Analyse this chart." | Free account (limited) or a plan |
| Your plan | "What plan am I on and when does it renew?" | Free account |
| Chart analysis quota | "How many chart analyses do I have left today?" | Free account |
| Daily stock and crypto signals | "What are today's stock signals?" | Plan or trial |
| Forex setups | "Show me active forex setups." | Plan or trial |
| Prediction markets | "List open prediction markets about crypto." | Plan or trial |
| Congressional trades | "Show recent congressional trades in NVDA." | Plan or trial |
| Alerts | "Show my unread alerts." | Plan or trial |
| Auto-trading status | "Is my auto-trading on, and what are my risk limits?" | Plan or trial |
| Positions and orders | "List my open auto-traded positions." | Plan or trial |
| Pause auto-trading | "Pause my auto-trading." | Plan or trial |
Signals
Daily signals for stocks and crypto come back as cards with the asset, BUY or SELL, entry, stop loss, take profit and a confidence score. You can ask for one asset type, for example crypto only, and set how many to show.
Forex setups include the pair, direction, entry, stop, three take-profit levels, pip targets, timeframe and notes.
The free crypto signals show direction and price. They do not include a stop loss or take profit.
Signals are published ideas for you to research. They are not predictions and not financial advice.
Chart analysis
Attach a chart image to your message and ask ChatGPT to analyse it. Signal Whisper returns the trend, volume, volatility, sentiment, a trade idea, key levels and risk metrics. A free account gets up to 5 chart analyses in total, with 1 allowed per day. Plans include unlimited chart analysis, with a safety limit of 15 a day. Sending the same image again within 24 hours returns the saved result and does not count against your limit.
Prediction markets and congressional trades
Prediction markets come from Polymarket and Kalshi. You get the market title, provider, the yes price as a probability from 0 to 1, 24-hour volume, end date, a link to the market and any linked ticker symbols. A market price is what traders are paying right now. It does not tell you what will happen.
Congressional trades come from public STOCK Act disclosures. You get the politician, party, ticker, transaction type, amount range and dates. Disclosures can be filed well after the trade, so check both dates.
Account and auto-trading status
You can ask about your plan, renewal date and chart-analysis usage, your delivered alerts, and the state of auto-trading: whether it is on, which exchanges are linked (names only, never keys or passwords), and your risk limits. You can also list auto-traded positions and recent orders.
What ChatGPT cannot do
- It cannot place a trade.
- It cannot turn auto-trading on or back on. That is only possible in the Signal Whisper app.
- It cannot change your auto-trading limits.
- It cannot withdraw or move funds, and it never sees your exchange keys or passwords.
- It cannot guarantee or predict outcomes. If you ask it to promise a result, it should decline.
The only action it can take is to pause auto-trading. ChatGPT asks you to confirm first, then pauses it.

Privacy and disconnecting
ChatGPT only sees what Signal Whisper returns for the questions you ask. A chart you attach is sent to Signal Whisper for analysis. Details are in the privacy policy.
To disconnect, remove the app in ChatGPT settings, or revoke its key on your Signal Whisper API keys page in your account.
